New York – January 21, 2025 – iHeartPodcasts and FilmNation Entertainment are excited to announce the launch of Greatest Escapes with Arturo Castro, a thrilling new podcast hosted by comedian and actor Arturo Castro (“Broad City”, “Narcos”, The Menu). The podcast recounts history’s most daring escape stories, from El Chapo to John Dillinger, with humor and wit. Greatest Escapes is set to debut episodes weekly starting on January 28, 2025. Blending comedy, history, and a touch of improv, Greatest Escapes with Arturo Castro combines the casual and fun nature of a chat show with the exhilarating thrill of true crime. Each episode explores a new escape alongside a guest, offering both a deep dive into history’s most jaw-dropping and laugh-out-loud moments. Joining Castro will be a lineup of Hollywood’s funniest and most talented stars, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ed Helms, Zoë Chao, Billy Magnussen, Sunita Mani, Kelsey McKinney, and more.

About Arturo Castro

With standout performances across film and television, Arturo Castro has quickly established his acting career when he first broke out in the beloved role of ‘Jaime’ in the Comedy Central series BROAD CITY. From there, he went on to be the writer, executive producer, and star of his comedy sketch series ALTERNATINO. He can previously be seen in Mark Mylod’s THE MENU for Searchlight, produced by Adam McKay, where he stars opposite Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes, and Nicholas Hoult. The film premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. He can be seen in Michael Liwak’s MOLLI AND MAX IN THE FUTURE, which was featured in the 2023 SXSW Film Festival.

Arturo can most recently be seen in Doug Liman’s re-boot of ROADHOUSE for Amazon/MGM opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor. The film was Amazon’s most watched film of all time and Arturo has a scene-stealing comedic role. He starred in Disney’s TRON: ARES opposite Jared Leto, Jeff Bridges, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, and Gillian Anderson. Arturo is starring in the upcoming  20th Century feature, MIKE & NICK & NICK & ALICE, alongside Vince Vaughn, James Marsden, Eiza Gonzalez and Jimmy Tatro. He will also be featured in Action Comedy GETAWAY for Jason Biggs’ directorial debut alongside Biggs, Meaghan Rath, Justin H. Min and Anna Konkle.

Arturo’s additional credits include Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Apple series MR.CORMAN produced by A24 and Antoine Fuqua’s Amazon series THE TERMINAL LIST opposite Chris Pratt, Riley Keough, Taylor Kitsch, and Constance Wu. He can also be seen in NARCOS season 2, where he played the menacing son and tyrant of a Colombian drug lord. He can be seen in FLIPPED opposite Will Forte and Kaitlin Olson for Quibi, Disney’s CGI/live-action remake of the classic LADY AND THE TRAMP, Henry-Alex Rubin’s independent feature SEMPER FI opposite Jai Courtney, Leighton Meester, and Finn Wittrock, and a role opposite Vin Diesel in Ang Lee’s BILLY LYNN’S LONG HALF TIME WALK.
