The Award-Winning Podcaster Brings His Investigative Background to a New Weekly Series, Featuring Deeply Unfiltered and Candid Conversations with Celebrities, Experts, and Friends
The Audio and Video Series Premieres on November 15, 2023
WHAT: If there is one thing podcast host Payne Lindsey is an expert at, it’s getting people to divulge information — whether it is clues that could lead to an arrest in a cold case, or simply getting a friend to share their most controversial hot takes. While Lindsey has traditionally utilized these skills to bring justice to victims on his award-winning series such as “Up and Vanished” and “Atlanta Monster,” he now wants to talk you to death with his first-ever weekly talk show, “Talking to Death,” which may or may not be about true crime at all.
The weekly series will take listeners on an exciting journey through crime, mystery, and fun, with a no-holds-barred approach. Offering authentic moments and showing previously unseen sides of renowned guests, the series will provide guests a platform to openly share new perspectives on their experiences. Aside from Lindsey’s friends and other colleagues in the true crime sphere, the series will feature raw interviews with notable podcasters, celebrities, and an array of experts spanning mental health, pop culture, the supernatural, and beyond.
“One of my favorite parts about my work is getting to meet people from all walks of life and develop meaningful relationships with them, bringing out new important information that has never been uncovered,” says host Payne Lindsey. “In ‘Talking to Death,’ I want to provide a platform for others, whether they’re my friends or people I look up to, to comfortably do the same, and show a side of themselves that they don’t normally show to the public.”
Listeners will be able to tune in weekly for some good old fashioned fun with Lindsey and his guests as they engage in unfiltered conversations that are full of surprising moments. Notable guests include Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Marc Smerling (“The Jinx”), NewsNation Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin, and former Playboy Bunny who starred in E!’s hit reality television series “The Girls Next Door,” Holly Madison. The series premieres on November 15, with the first two episodes immediately available. Star of MTV's “Jackass” and fellow podcast host, Steve-O, joins Lindsey on the first episode for a conversation surrounding the death penalty and addiction.
“Talking To Death” is distributed by iHeartPodcasts.
WHEN + WHERE: The first two episodes of “Talking to Death” will premiere on November 15, and new episodes will be released weekly on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard.
