iHeartMedia and Fatherly Honor an American Legend with New iHeartRadio Original Podcast “Finding Fred”

The 10-episode show co-produced by iHeartMedia and Fatherly explores the legacy and teachings of Mister Rogers

Finding Fred” reintroduces an adult audience to Fred Rogers, who is best known as the presenter on a beloved childhood show but was also an important American thinker with a profound and radical worldview. Episodes feature interviews with people whose lives were changed by Fred Rogers, and people who got close enough to understand precisely what motivated this remarkably determined man. Biographical details sprinkled throughout help listeners understand how Rogers arrived at fascinating insights into topics as varied as power, faith, responsibility, and citizenship.

Featured throughout the series are the voices of prominent writers and thinkers like Ashley C. Ford, Eve Ewing and W. Shondaland Partners With iHeartMedia To Launch Shondaland Audio

The award-winning producer and writer Shonda Rhimes will executive produce the new slate of iHeartRadio Originals distributed through the iHeartPodcast Network

The agreement includes a full slate of iHeartRadio Original Podcasts set to release over the next three years as part of the iHeartPodcast Network. The joint venture will focus on comedy podcasts, all executive produced by Will Ferrell and iHeartMedia that will be distributed through the iHeartPodcast Network

Blumhouse and iHeartMedia Partner to Produce a Series of Fictional iHeartRadio Original Podcasts for Future Film and Television Development

“The Mantawauk Caves” is First Podcast in Innovative Partnership to be Distributed Through the iHeartPodcast Network

NEW YORK & LOS ANGELES – October 10, 2019 – Blumhouse and iHeartMedia today announced a strategic partnership to produce a series of fictional podcasts for potential, future film and television development. Under the new partnership, the two companies will collaborate to develop and produce scripted podcasts in the horror genre, ranging from suspenseful thrillers and murder mysteries to science fiction audio-plays. The first podcast in the series is set to launch early next year and will be distributed through the iHeartPodcast Network.

The first in the slate of co-produced podcasts is “The Mantawauk Caves” from writer, director, producer Dan Bush (The Signal, The Vault, The Dark Red). “The Mantawauk Caves” weaves together narrative threads of a social drama and supernatural horror, following three boys who enter a cave in the Appalachian Mountains - the oldest range in the world - and only one makes it out alive.

iHeartMedia and Einhorn’s Epic Productions Announce Season Two of the iHeartRadio Original Hit Scripted-Podcast “Lethal Lit: A Tig Torres Mystery”

Cavalry Media to co-develop TV show based on podcast

NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES – May 21, 2019 – iHeartMedia, the No. 1 commercial podcast publisher, and Einhorn’s Epic Productions (“EEP”), an entertainment creative house that builds heroic franchise intellectual property, today announced season two of the iHeartRadio Original hit scripted-podcast “Lethal Lit: A Tig Torres Mystery.” Season two will launch as part of the iHeartPodcast Network and will be available on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard beginning next winter.

Debuted in October 2018, the initial six-part season of “Lethal Lit” was the first scripted podcast for both iHeartMedia and EEP and was a first among Young Adult (YA) targeted podcasts in the industry. The podcastfollows teen detective Tig Torres as she returns to her small hometown of Hollow Falls, where her aunt was framed as a serial killer ten years earlier. Through her “true crime” podcast, “Lethal Lit,” and with help from her new friends from the school paper, Oly, Wyn, and Max, Tig explores the mystery of the twisted Lit Killer murders.

The second annual live awards event, which will broadcast and stream live across iHeartMedia stations nationwide, will honor the most entertaining and innovative podcasts of 2019 and will span 30 categories, celebrating the incredible talent and wide variety of leaders across the booming podcasting industry.
