iHeartMedia Expands its Spanish-Language Podcast Offering

The iHeartPodcast Network serves Hispanic audiences with a slate of iHeartRadio Original Podcasts from Enrique Santos; and inks a multi-year development, co-production, distribution and sales partnership with reVOLVER Podcasts Audio Network 

New York – February 12, 2020 – iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in America and No. 1 commercial podcast publisher, announced today two new efforts aimed at expanding the iHeartPodcast Network with more Spanish-language and Hispanic-focused offerings. With the increasing importance and size of the U.S. Hispanic population, both Spanish and English speaking, the iHeartPodcast Network will roll out a slate of podcasts hosted and co-produced by Enrique Santos, notable on-air radio personality and Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of iHeartLatino; and launch a multi-year development, co-production and distribution partnership with multicultural digital audio network, reVOLVER. Enrique Santos, nationally syndicated host of Tu Mañana con Enrique Santos on iHeartMedia’s TÚ 94.9FM in Miami, FL, will launch the podcast “Hola, My Name Is...” as the first in his new slate of shows. The podcast centers around insightful and honest conversations with celebrities, leaders and everyday people with the aim of showcasing the power and resilience of the Hispanic community. Enrique and iHeartMedia will co-develop additional podcasts in the areas of health, fashion and beauty, sports and the supernatural later this year.

Earlier this month, Jake Brennan’s “Disgraceland” won the “Best Music Podcast” award at the 2020 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards. Late last year, he released his debut book,Disgraceland: Musicians Getting Away With Murder And Behaving Very Badly, withForbes calling it "a real page-turner" and Exclaim! deeming it one of "The Best Music Books of 2019." Last year, Brennan and his business partner Brady Sadler launched Double Elvis Productions, a new audio-driven media company, alongside the announcement of a slate of four new podcasts coming to the iHeartPodcast Network in 2020. The first of these podcasts, “Dear Young Rocker,” is a first-person, coming of age story about the struggles of young adulthood and the power of music, hosted by Chelsea Ursin and executive produced by Brennan.

iHeartMedia and OZY Media Announce New Multi-Year Deal To Co-Produce New iHeartRadio Original Podcasts

 As part of the deal, two popular OZY Media podcasts “The Thread” and “OZY Confidential” will also join the iHeartPodcast Network

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. and NEW YORK (January 30, 2020) - iHeartMedia and OZY Media today announce a new multi-year deal to co-produce and promote a slate of iHeartRadio Original Podcasts, with three shows set to be released in 2020 and distributed through the iHeartPodcast Network. The partnership reflects iHeartRadio’s focus to growing its library of high-quality original podcasts for its hundreds of millions of listeners across the country and OZY Media’s continued expansion into original content for audio and TV.

The first co-produced podcast in the slate will be “Around the World,” a travel and culture podcast featuring stories of changemakers and renegades from around the world who are doing the unexpected in the face of adversity. The content will originate from OZY's groundbreaking year-long editorial project that saw them report three stories from every country on earth. The two additional podcasts set to launch this year include a spin-off series from OZY’s “The Thread” and a scripted series.

These narratives draw from OZY’s cutting-edge digital news stories and have evolved into podcasts that appeal to a wide range of curious listeners interested in seeing a broader and bolder world. In addition to co-producing the new slate of original podcasts, two of OZY’s existing news and culture podcasts – “The Thread” and “OZY Confidential” – will join the iHeartPodcast Network’s deep catalog of podcast titles.

The event will also feature live performances from Halsey and Lizzo, as well as previously announced performer, Justin Bieber, with more to be announced. The two-hour event will air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Sunday, March 29 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live / PT tape-delayed) on FOX.
