Adam Denenberg Named iHeartRadio’s Chief Technology Officer
 
New York, N.Y. ­ - November 4, 2014 - ­ iHeartMedia, the leading media company in America with a greater reach than any radio or television outlet, announced today that Adam Denenberg will join the company as Chief Technology Officer of the iHeartRadio Network effective November 17. Denenberg will report to Darren Davis, President of iHeartRadio and iHeartMedia Networks.
 
Denenberg joins iHeartMedia from the Huffington Post.  In his new role, Denenberg will be responsible for the technology strategy and vision for iHeartRadio, the company's all-in-one digital radio and streaming music service, including technical direction and research and development of new products; he will also oversee the technology infrastructure across iHeartRadio's network of websites, including the more than 859 local radio station and talent-specific sites. Denenberg will also work closely with other divisions within the company to develop new technology initiatives that create dynamic experiences for iHeartRadio listeners, advertisers and partners.

His background also includes technology positions with ROO Media, About.com, and Comedy Central.

The exclusive event featured a performance by Taylor live for fans on a private New York City rooftop to celebrate the release of her new album, 1989, which dropped yesterday. 

Taylor kicked off the performance with "Welcome to New York" and continued with "Out of the Woods," "Style," "Blank Page" and closed with her hit, "Shake It Off." The lucky audience was filled with fans she handpicked from her fan club to attend this final Secret Session.  Plus, for fans on the rooftop and throughout New York City, Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. also synchronized the world-famous LED tower lights on the Empire State Building to Taylor's performance, which broadcasted on iHeartMedia CHR stations throughout the country as well as streamed iHeartRadio.com and Yahoo Live.

NEW YORK, NY – OCTOBER 23, 2014 – Taylor Swift and Diet Coke are teaming up for unprecedented programming events with iHeartMedia to celebrate the release of Swift’s highly anticipated, fifth studio album, 1989, on October 27. Together, Swift and Diet Coke will take over every Premiere Networks-syndicated CHR (Contemporary Hit Radio) show and its digital platforms during the week of Taylor’s album launch.
 
Swift will kick off the week by guest-hosting American Top 40 on October 25 and 26 and being featured on Direct From Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest on October 27. She will also appear as a special guest during On with Mario Lopez on October 29.
 
On October 30, Diet Coke will present Swift co-hosting On Air with Ryan Seacrest for the show’s entire four-hour broadcast live from New York City, sharing exclusive details about 1989. This will be the first time an artist co-hosts the entire radio program, as well as the first time the full show is presented by a single brand. To bring fans closer to the experience, Diet Coke is hosting the Ultimate 1989 Fan Party LIVE from iHeartRadio’s NYC studios during the broadcast.

Then to round out the week, Swift will guest-host iHeartRadio Countdown with Romeo and be a featured guest on iHeartRadio Countdown with Mario Lopez and Weekend Top 30 with Hollywood Hamilton on November 1 and 2.  In addition, Swift will appear as a special guest on Saturday Night Online Live with Romeo on November 1 and appear as a special guest on Club Kane on November 2.

Beginning Oct. 15, listeners who have both an Android wearable and iHeartRadio installed on their Android smartphone will seamlessly be able to control their iHeartRadio listening experience right from their wrist.
 
Users who sync an Android Wear smartwatch, such as the Samsung Gear Live, Moto 360 and LG G Watch, with a compatible Android phone will be able to access the iHeartRadio app through voice activation, making it easier to find and listen to their favorite music while on-the-go. Results for Eight Specific Campaigns Across Spectrum of Advertising Categories Now Available

New York, NY – September 30, 2014 – iHeartMedia, a leading global media and entertainment company with the largest reach of any radio or television outlet in America, today announced remarkable results from a study conducted in partnership with leading neuromarketing firm Neuro-Insight. Neuro-Insight uses its patented brain imaging technology, Steady-State Topography (SST), to measure how the brain responds to communications, including a broad spectrum of content and advertising. Here, Neuro-Insight’s research clearly showed radio outperforming television – and radio advertisements in particular outperformed television advertisements for the same brands—showing much higher performance in Neuro-Insight’s Memory Encoding metric, an indicator repeatedly and strongly associated with consumer choice and purchase behavior.

Neuro-Insight tested eight advertising campaigns with parallel radio and television versions across the automotive, financial services, insurance, consumer packaged goods, quick-service restaurants, entertainment, retail and telco categories. In seven of the eight test cases, radio ads returned much higher results than TV in Memory Encoding at key branding moments.  For advertisers, Memory Encoding at branding is the key to a successful ad campaign – and unless Memory Encoding is high at this critical point, the ad will not function successfully. This has been peer-reviewed and published in various other research studies.

Radio was also more effective than TV in converting content engagement into Memory Encoding during advertising breaks – indicating better content-ad interaction and stronger impact on consumer choice and behavior for radio ads as compared to the tested television ads.

“These findings from Neuro-Insight represent significant scientific evidence that radio’s ability to engage consumers -- and influence them to purchase – can far outperform other media,” said Dr. Radha Subramanyam, Executive Vice President of Insights for iHeartMedia.  “If advertisers want their messages to truly register with consumers – and drive their purchasing behavior -- they need to make radio a significant part of their media budgets.”

Neuro-Insight’s Memory Encoding metric is both scientifically and commercially validated to correlate with advertising effectiveness, consumer choice, and in-market behavior.  In this study, the higher Memory Encoding figures seen for radio indicate that radio advertising in its current form is both well-designed and more likely to impact consumer and market outcomes than TV advertising.
