WHAT: iHeartMedia and Grim & Mild today launched the first episode of “12 Ghosts,” an original fictional podcast from Aaron Mahnke, creator of “13 Days of Halloween.” The podcast, starring Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), is a 12-part ghostly anthology series with a festive twist, offering 12 spooky stories for the 12 days of Christmas and released daily through Christmas Eve.

In the midst of a massive blizzard, 11 strangers find themselves stranded in an old inn on Christmas Eve. With no escape, and strangely compelled by the old innkeeper (Malcom McDowell), each stranger discovers something they have in common: everyone has a secret spectral tale. Produced in 3D binaural sound, listeners will be transported to Mulligan’s Inn as they follow each storyteller into their nightmares and experience a timeless, frightening tale.

Dean Reed's daughter Ramona Reed is the host and executive producer of Red Elvis. Over six episodes, she explores her father’s legacy and the unanswered questions surrounding his death.

For 25 years, he was a worldwide rockstar, actor, director, producer and revolutionary,” said Ramona Reed. “He crusaded for leaders such as Chilean President Salvador Allende, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, and communist revolutionary Che Guevara. But as he made plans to attend my graduation in Los Angeles, he disappeared and was later found dead in an East Berlin lake. Suspicious, yes, unbelievable, yes - but all true.”

Red Elvis” features interviews with Dean Reed’s friends, family, and fans, as well as Cold War experts to provide critical context for Reed’s time living in South America and Eastern Germany.

The American Advertising Federation (AAF), Together With iHeartMedia and Known, Launch New Podcast Series, “Future Legends of Advertising”

Series pairs Advertising Luminaries with Rising Stars in Conversations about Issues of Interest to the Industry, Now and in the Future

NEW YORK- November 14, 2022- Today, iHeartMedia is inviting listeners nationwide to celebrate Elton John’s iconic career with “iHeartRadio Presents Elton John’s Thank You to America: The Final Song,” an hour-long special that will broadcast across more than 320 stations nationwide on Sunday, November 20 at 10 p.m. PT /1 a.m. ET. The broadcast special will feature legendary moments from Elton John’s career and include a live simulcast of Elton John’s final song and closing remarks during his last performance in North America at the “Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, presented by Alliance for Lifetime Income” at Dodger Stadium. Additionally, iHeartRadio AC, Hot AC, CHR, Classic Rock and Classic Hits stations exclusively announced today that special guests Dua Lipa, Brandi Carlile and Kiki Dee will be joining Elton John at his final performance in America at Dodger Stadium. 

To kick off the celebration, select iHeartRadio Hot AC, Classic Rock, CHR and Classic Hits stations will air vignettes highlighting Elton John’s iconic career beginning today and leading up to the broadcast special. The broadcast special will take listeners through the timeline of Elton John’s legendary career featuring exclusive interviews throughout the years and recorded versions of his classics and historic live performances, showcasing his greatest achievements. The special will be culminated with a live simulcast of Elton John’s final song and closing remarks during his last performance in North America the “Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, presented by Alliance for Lifetime Income” at Dodger Stadium.

New York – November 11, 2022 – iHeartMedia announced today the return of their iHeartRadio Holiday Special, a broadcasted event hosted by Mario Lopez. This two-hour special event will feature interviews with Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Dan + Shay, John Legend and Meghan Trainor discussing their favorite holiday songs and traditions. The special will broadcast across iHeartMedia’s AC and Classic Hits stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app on November 23 at 7 p.m. local time. 

Every holiday season, iHeartMedia converts music radio stations in its key markets to all Christmas music through Christmas Day.
