New York – April 29, 2011 – Z100, New York’s hit music station, and KTU, the beat of New York, announced today that world-renowned multitalented singer/actress/performer Jennifer Lopez will appear at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in New York City May 1, as part of iHeartRadio Live, a Clear Channel entertainment production that features private performances and interviews with today’s top recording artists.  Lopez will join Z100's Danielle Monaro and KTU's Cindy Vero for a special Sunday brunch event for fans.  The event will stream live on Z100.com and KTU.com at 11:00 a.m. ET.
 
“Jennifer Lopez is one of the hottest recording stars and television personalities in the industry right now and we are thrilled she is coming back to iHeartRadio Live,” said Sharon Dastur, Z100 Program Director.  “Being a hometown girl from the Bronx, her fans will appreciate her taking the opportunity to get up-close and personal with them in this unique and intimate environment.”
 
Audience members will be treated to a brunch, meet and greet with the artist and attend an exclusive, live question and answer session with Lopez.  In addition, the audience will have the opportunity to listen to tracks off Lopez’s new album and win special prizes.  Z100 and KTU will also raffle off tickets for the Sunday brunch and proceeds will benefit Musicians on Call, an organization that brings live and recorded music to patients’ bedsides in healthcare facilities.
 
The Island Def Jam album LOVE?, Lopez' latest, will be released in the U.S. on May 3, 2011.  This will be Lopez’s seventh album and will contain her Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) platinum worldwide No. 1 smash single “On the Floor” (featuring Pitbull) and her brand new second single, “I’m Into You,” (featuring Lil’ Wayne.)
 
Lopez has been recognized internationally with two Grammy Award nominations, two Latin Grammy Award nominations and is the winner of three American Music Awards.  Lopez is currently a judge on the hit American reality television competition American Idol.

Clear Channel Radio and City of Hope will hit all the high notes with the launch of “Play For Life™,” a national campaign to raise funds to support City of Hope’s lifesaving cancer research and music therapy programs. “Play For Life” features online auctions for one-of-a-kind experiences with top recording stars Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Matthew Morrison, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Linkin Park, Enrique Iglesias and others.
 
From now through June 30, listeners can visit the websites of 790 Clear Channel radio stations across the country as well as iHeartRadio.com, the website for Clear Channel Radio’s industry-leading digital radio service, to bid in the auctions. Proceeds will support cancer research at City of Hope and the institution’s music therapy program, which helps patients with cancer and other serious illnesses reduce pain and physical discomfort, develop coping skills, enhance relaxation and promote positive thinking.
City of Hope’s music therapists guide program participants through a wide range of auditory experiences, including singing, composing and playing musical instruments, to help enhance their well-being during treatment. The music therapy program is an integral part of City of Hope’s Department of Supportive Care Medicine, a national leader in integrated support services designed to facilitate patients’ journey toward recovery and wholeness. The department provides both clinical care and academic research into the patient treatment experience. Researchers conduct clinical trials and publish their findings to advance the level of supportive care provided to patients everywhere.

KIIS-FM radio show “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest” host Ryan Seacrest, in partnership with Clear Channel Radio, helped orchestrate this innovative relationship with Relativity Media, which is designed to drive box office sales and promote upcoming entertainment properties by tapping into Clear Channel’s monthly reach of 237 million in a creative and compelling manner.
The companies officially kicked off their collaboration with the promotion of the film Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro, which finished #1 at the box office during its opening weekend with a 25% lead over that weekend’s #2 film and 43% over the other weekend openers. “For Limitless, we feel the Clear Channel promotion significantly impacted our awareness and helped drive our successful opening weekend,” said Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO of Relativity Media.
 
Clear Channel offers an unparalleled variety of cross-platform media assets. For Limitless, the companies leveraged the film's Limitless theme and the star power of Bradley Cooper to serve as a catalyst for interest in the movie. These included custom interviews with exclusive insight into the film; “limitless” music hours that indicated ‘you’re listening to the Z100 limitless music hour sponsored by Limitless’; social media integration on station Facebook pages offering listeners the chance to win Limitless music; rich media overlays featuring Bradley Cooper walking onto home pages to promote the film; countdown clocks both on-air and on-line to provide high frequency reminders to the listeners and more.

The acquisition does not include Thumbplay’s ringtone business. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The acquisition will enable Clear Channel to leverage Thumbplay’s state-of-the-art music technology and services, and combine the efforts of both the Clear Channel and Thumbplay technology, product and marketing teams to accelerate development and growth of the next generation of Clear Channel’s popular and successful iHeartRadio digital products. In addition, the new iHeartRadio platform will power Clear Channel’s 750 radio stations from 150 cities and the company’s digital-only commercial-free stations, and provide a variety of new features and functionality, including enabling listeners to create their own personalized ‘radio stations.’
Thumbplay will also give Clear Channel the capability to deploy a variety of subscription services as the company moves quickly to leverage its significant radio assets across all digital platforms, including the Internet, automotive and mobile devices.

Over the coming months, Clear Channel will incorporate Thumbplay’s custom ‘radio station’ service into its iHeartRadio, the digital platform for 750 Clear Channel Radio stations nationwide, including such mega-stations as Z100 in New York and KIIS-FM in Los Angeles.
The technology, like iHeartRadio itself, works on PCs and Macs, as well as smartphones, including Android, iPhone and BlackBerry devices. In addition, iHeartRadio will be incorporated into Toyota vehicles as well as other automotive platforms.

National Sports Talk Radio Host Jim Rome Celebrates 15-Year Anniversary In Syndication
LOS ANGELES, February 22, 2011 – Premiere Radio Networks is proud to announce that 2011 marks the 15-year anniversary of The Jim Rome Show in national syndication. Hosted by one of the most respected voices in the world of sports broadcasting, the program airs live Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - noon PT on 230 radio stations, an all-time affiliate high for the program, and reaches more than two million listeners each week. In his 15th year of syndication, Rome remains committed to his affiliate base as the only national sports radio talk personality broadcasting his program exclusively on the AM and FM dial. Rome kicked off the anniversary with a live remote from Super Bowl XLV. Rome began his radio career at KTMS, Santa Barbara as the “$5 dollar-an-hour” traffic reporter and covered UC Santa Barbara’s sports. He later left KTMS for San Diego’s all-sports station, XTRA Sports 690. It was during a temporary stint on a late-night show for the station that Rome debuted his “smack” (Jungle Glossary term meaning sports talk in a gloating, uninhibited or unbridled manner). The style yielded high ratings, and by acclimation of his listeners, The Jungle was born.
