New York, NY – June 18, 2012 – Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, the leading media company in America with a greater reach than any other radio or television outlet, today announced that Darren Davis has been promoted to  Executive Vice President of National Programming Platforms.  Davis will continue to report directly to Tom Poleman, President of National Programming Platforms.
 
The National Programming Platforms team, led by Tom Poleman, orchestrates Clear Channel’s programming on a national level, including the  development of on-air and digital content as well as live events, like the iHeartRadio Music Festival, that leverage Clear Channel’s 850 stations, websites and iHeartRadio for listeners, advertisers and strategic partners.
 
In his new position, Davis will work closely with Poleman to oversee all aspects of the division and the ongoing development and execution of Clear Channel’s national advertising and programming integrations.  He will continue to manage the Programming Operations Center; the Brand Management in-house format team; and the company’s highly effective Premium Choice network, which imports and exports programming innovation and excellence from station to station providing the highest quality research, talent and programming otherwise unavailable. 
 
Davis began his programming career at WASH-FM in Washington, D.C./Baltimore in 1992.  He has since served as a Regional Vice President of Programming for Clear Channel Detroit and Chicago and worked his way up through the ranks as Senior Vice President of Programming and to his previous role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of National Programming Platforms.

New York, NY – June 11, 2012 – Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, the leading media company in America with a greater reach in the U.S. than any other radio or television outlet, today announced Tom Schurr as its new President of Operations for its Major Markets, and Matt Martin as its new President of Operations for its Regional Markets.  Both positions will report directly to John Hogan, Chairman and CEO of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, effective immediately.
 
In this new position, Schurr, previously Executive Vice President of Operations for the Eastern Region Major Markets and a 30 year broadcast industry leader, will ensure that Clear Channel’s major broadcast markets have a dedicated operational focus, efficient lines of communication and continue to leverage the powerful, innovative resources that make Clear Channel the leading media and entertainment company in America. Schurr began his career at Taft Broadcasting and has worked for a number of various broadcast organizations prior to Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, including Great American, Citicasters and Jacor.  At Clear Channel he has held leadership roles in a number of markets across the country, including Buffalo, Milwaukee, Sacramento, Louisville, Houston, Dallas, Nashville and more.
 
Tom McConnell, recently appointed Executive Vice President of Operations and Hartley Adkins, Executive Vice President of Operations, will now report to Schurr and assist with the seamless implementation of companywide initiatives in the Major markets.
 
Matt Martin, former Senior Vice President of Operations for the West Region, will assume the new role of President of Operations for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment’s 123 Regional markets.  In this new position, Martin will ensure that the Regional markets have a dedicated operating focus, enhanced communication and collaboration and efficient access to Clear Channel’s full range of  best-in-class assets and resources.  Martin, with more than 15 years of sales and broadcast experience, began his radio career as a part-time sales representative while in college and worked his way through the ranks as a sales representative, sales manager, market manager and regional vice president of station clusters throughout Texas.  Martin has also held the position as President and Market Manager for the San Antonio Cluster and has been with Clear Channel since 1995.
 
John Rohm, Senior Vice President of Operations for the Southeast Regional Markets, and two soon-to-be-named Senior Vice President of Operations for the Regional Markets, will report to Martin.
 
The recent realignment also included the promotion of Tom McConnell as an Executive Vice President of Operations for the Major Markets.  McConnell has been a valuable part of the Clear Channel team since 1995 when he began his career at WHYN in Springfield, Mass.  McConnell worked his way up through the ranks including Market Manager and Regional Vice President in Hartford, Conn., President and Market Manager of Boston, Mass. and Providence, R.I. and his previous role as Senior Vice President of Operations for the Northeast Regional Markets.

New York, NY – April 24, 2012 – Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, the leading media company in America with a greater reach than any other radio or television outlet, today announced a partnership with Sony Nashville to launch Carrie Underwood’s fourth album, Blown Away, set to release May 1.  Beginning April 24, Clear Channel will launch a two-week-long on-air and online Artist Integration Program designed to leverage Clear Channel’s powerful properties and audiences to introduce Blown Away to listeners and fans. The multi-platform promotion will also feature a special performance by Underwood for iHeartRadio Live, a Clear Channel entertainment production at the iHeartRadio Theater presented by P.C. Richard & Son in New York City.  
 
Underwood is a five-time Grammy winner, two-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, three-time Country Music Association Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist winner and proud member of the Grand Ole Opry.  Since her debut in 2005, Underwood has amassed more than 14 million in album sales and has placed 14 No. 1 singles on the charts. In his new, expanded role, Castelli, previously Executive Vice President of Digital Sales and one of the industry’s top digital media sales executives, will oversee and ensure the close integration of the national sales and partnership operations for the key Clear Channel National Platform divisions, including Digital, Strategic Partnerships, Clear Channel Connections, Clear Channel Radio sales and Premiere Radio Networks sales. Castelli will report to John Hogan, Chairman and CEO of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. 
 
Clear Channel also named Condé Nast’s Holly Lang as Senior Vice President, Marketing Solutions. In this newly created role, Lang will be responsible for conceiving and implementing innovative marketing programs for national advertisers, with a special focus on consumer brands. In addition, Chris Monteleone, formerly Vice President of Partner Strategy at Madison Square Garden, has been named Senior Vice President, Event Sponsorship Sales and Development. In this new position, he will be responsible for working to help national marketers reach the extraordinarily loyal and motivated audiences at Clear Channel’s incredibly popular national entertainment events, like the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party:  Fontainebleau Miami Beach and the historic iHeartRadio Music Festival as well as iconic local events such as Z100’s Jingle Ball and KIIS FM’s Wango Tango.

Clear Channel Digital, which directs the implementation of the company’s digital strategy, including iHeartRadio, the Company’s industry-leading digital radio service. Castelli will soon name a head of Digital sales efforts for the company.
Strategic Partnerships and Clear Channel Connections, led respectively by Michele Laven and Greg Glenday and focused on expanding alliances with key national distribution and content partners as well as creating and developing compelling integrated advertising and marketing campaigns across all of Clear Channel’s platforms using the company’s unique collection of media assets to develop comprehensive, integrated relationships with leading national advertisers.
Clear Channel Radio Sales and Premiere Networks Sales which are respectively Clear Channel Media and Entertainment’s dedicated national sales representation team and the dedicated network radio sales team with opportunities in 90 syndicated radio programs and services to more than 5,000 radio affiliates.
 
Clear Channel also announced that Charlie Rahilly, President, National Advertiser Platforms, has decided to leave the Company to focus on new projects. “Charlie has been a valuable leader for Clear Channel for more than 20 years, and he has contributed much to our success,” said Mr. Hogan. “He’s told us he’s eager to begin a new, entrepreneurial chapter in his career. We’re grateful for his leadership and many contributions, and wish him the best in his new endeavors.”  
Kevin Dorsey, previously President of Traffic, Navigation and Mobility, will expand his role and now oversee the operations of Katz Media Group and Premiere Radio Networks affiliate sales as President of National Media Groups. Katz is the leading media representation company in the U.S. and represents nearly 4,000 radio stations, 700 television and digital multicast stations and more than 4,000 online publishers across audio, video, display email and mobile channels, and Premiere is a leading player in the network space with 90 programs and more than 5,000 radio station affiliates. 
 
About Tim Castelli 
 
Castelli has more than 20 years’ experience in building advertising solutions for major U.S. clients and previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales for AOL’s Eastern U.S. Region where he oversaw sales, account management and marketing in New York, Boston, Atlanta and across the eastern seaboard. Prior to AOL, Castelli led advertising and partnership activities for technology, wireless and consumer electronic partners as the Technology Industry Director for Google. He also held the role of the company’s East Coast Managing Director overseeing the Eastern Region search and display advertising sales teams. 
 
Before Google, Tim was the publisher of Rolling Stone magazine, overseeing its advertising strategy, revenue generation and integrated media program development. Tim also spent 13 years at Ziff Davis Media in various management positions, including Senior Vice President of the Consumer Technology Group and Publisher of PC Magazine.
 
About Holly Lang 

Holly Lang is a veteran marketer with extensive experience creating large-scale marketing and advertising platforms for top media brands. Previously a Senior Executive at Condé Nast, Lang’s responsibilities included integrated marketing efforts, business development and ecommerce initiatives for the company.  She also served as Associate Publisher, Brand Development for Lucky magazine, overseeing integrated marketing solutions, strategic partnerships, ecommerce initiatives and brand extensions. Prior to that, Lang developed and implemented high-level marketing solutions as a branding consultant for various companies including Architectural Digest, Domino Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue and portero.com.

Earlier Lang served as Vice President of Marketing for aSmallWorld.net, where she was responsible for creating integrated advertising packages, site development and member retention for the private social network.  She was also the Executive Director of Creative Services at Vogue, where she directed all of the magazine's integrated marketing platforms, established strategic partnerships and oversaw all events, promotions, television projects, design and PR.  Lang also has held senior marketing positions at Rockefeller Center, Men’s Journal and GQ.

Chris Monteleone has a proven track record of successfully managing multiplatform sales and marketing initiatives and exceeding revenue goals.  As Vice President of Partner Strategy at Madison Square Garden, Monteleone was responsible for marketing partnerships under the MSG umbrella which included sponsorships, sales, TV media, digital platforms and exclusive experiences around the NY Knicks, NY Rangers and MSG Entertainment assets.

The Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star campaign is a nationwide search for new music in which Clear Channel industry experts join with Macy's to select 25 emerging artists to present to fans across America. Fans will then vote which talent should be given a chance to take the next step towards national stardom.  Clear Channel listeners, iHeartRadio fans and Macy’s shoppers throughout the country will select their favorite up-and-coming artist through online voting at iheartradio.com/macys, which begins today and will run through May 4.  The “Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Star” artist who secures the most online votes, will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform as an opening act on the iHeartRadio Music Festival stage in Las Vegas on Friday, September 21, 2012.

The selected artists will be promoted on more than 270 Clear Channel radio stations and websites in more than 140 cities across the country, online at iHeartRadio.com and via Clear Channel’s social media sites.  The artists will also be featured on “Rising Star,” a digital iHeartRadio custom station, on in-store TVs in the MStyleLab department at Macy’s, on macys.com and via Macy’s social media sites.  The winner will also have the opportunity to perform at signature Macy’s events including its four-city high-fashion and music extravaganza - Macy’s Passport presents Glamorama.  
 
Full artist biographies, music tracks and videos will be available online to help fans choose their favorite artist.  Voters will also have the opportunity to enter an online sweepstakes for a chance to win a “VIP Trip for Two” to the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, including an exclusive meet-and-greet with the “Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Star” winner.

April 05, 2012 - NEW YORK - iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s industry-leading digital radio service, and the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach today announced the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party: Fontainebleau Miami Beach, a two-day musical weekend in Miami June 29-30, 2012, part of the BleauLive concert series. The weekend will feature live performances at Fontainebleau by popular recording artists Maroon 5, Flo Rida, Gym Class Heroes and Calvin Harris, as well as a special guest appearance by Enrique Iglesias.
To promote the event, Clear Channel will launch a national on-air and online promotion across more than 90 of its mainstream contemporary hit radio (CHR) stations beginning April 9.
