New York – May 5, 2011 – Q104.3, New York’s classic rock station, announced today that contemporary music artist and guitarist Eric Johnson will perform an intimate show at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in New York City on May 12, as part of Q104.3’s 10th anniversary celebration of its “Out of the Box” show. “Out of the Box” is a weekly show on Q104.3 that features the best in new music from classic rock legends as well as newer bands/artists, and the best local, unsigned and undiscovered bands/artists from the garages and basements around the tri-state area. “Out of the Box” host Jonathan “JC” Clarke will host the event, which will stream live on Q1043.com at 7:00 p.m.
 
“Eric Johnson is one of the most respected guitarists of all time,” said Jonathan Clarke, Host/Executive Producer. “His performance will be the perfect way to celebrate “Out of the Box’s” 10th anniversary. Johnson’s music blends Jimi Hendrix’s rock style with Albert King’s power blues. His latest album Up Close was released in the U.S. on December 7, 2010. Johnson’s 1990 platinum selling album Ah Via Musicom featured the popular single “Cliffs of Dover,” for which he won the 1991 Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
 
Over the past decade, some of the biggest names in rock have stopped by “Out of the Box” including Ronnie Wood, Stevie Nicks, Ray Davies, Slash and Bryan Adams. “Out of the Box” was the first radio station in the nation to play Maroon 5, The Strokes, Robert Randolph and The Gaslight Anthem among others, prior to their having had record deals.
 
“Out of the Box” airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on Q104.3. In addition to Johnson’s performance, the event will also feature special guest musicians Will Lee and Anton Fig from the CBS Orchestra, who have been featured on The Late Show with David Letterman. Johnson will be touring throughout the year with the Experience Hendrix 2011 tour.

New York, NY May 2, 2011 – Robin Hood, The Black Eyed Peas, Chase, DAS Communications, NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, the Central Park Conservancy and Clear Channel Radio announced today that the six-time Grammy-award winning group will perform their first-ever live concert in Central Park on June 9, 2011. The concert will benefit Robin Hood and its mission to fight poverty in New York City, as well as fund the creation of three new sites for The Black Eyed Peas’ Peapod Academies in New York City. All concertgoers must have a ticket to enter the event. Chase, the largest private-sector employer in New York City, is the presenting sponsor. Clear Channel is the event’s exclusive radio partner. The Black Eyed Peas and Robin Hood announced the concert this morning in an exclusive interview on “” on Z100.
This is a ticketed event – all concertgoers must have a ticket to enter and backpacks and other carry alongs are not permitted. 54,000 free tickets will be available only through random giveaway by registering at blackeyedpeas.robinhood.org beginning on May 11. A small number of VIP tickets will be available for sale through the same website. Tickets are limited to ensure the safety of all fans attending the event.

The concert will raise funds and awareness for Robin Hood, a public charity targeting poverty in New York City by funding and partnering with the best and most effective programs. Robin Hood’s grants and guidance support food pantries, homeless shelters, health clinics and provide work-force training for impoverished New Yorkers in the five boroughs. As part of the partnership with The Black Eyed Peas, Robin Hood will fund the opening of three Peapod Academies in New York City over the coming years, which will support disadvantaged youth in New York City by providing music and artistic education, such as music engineering and mixing and video editing, among other opportunities.

The companies officially kicked off their collaboration with the promotion of the film Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro, which finished #1 at the box office during its opening weekend with a 25% lead over that weekend’s #2 film and 43% over the other weekend openers. “For Limitless, we feel the Clear Channel promotion significantly impacted our awareness and helped drive our successful opening weekend,” said Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO of Relativity Media.
 
Clear Channel offers an unparalleled variety of cross-platform media assets. For Limitless, the companies leveraged the film's Limitless theme and the star power of Bradley Cooper to serve as a catalyst for interest in the movie. These included custom interviews with exclusive insight into the film; “limitless” music hours that indicated ‘you’re listening to the Z100 limitless music hour sponsored by Limitless’; social media integration on station Facebook pages offering listeners the chance to win Limitless music; rich media overlays featuring Bradley Cooper walking onto home pages to promote the film; countdown clocks both on-air and on-line to provide high frequency reminders to the listeners and more.
The campaign was executed across a broad combination of Clear Channel's assets, including national radio programs like "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest" and dozens of top-rated local radio station programs like Boy Toy Jesse's show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles and Elvis Duran's show on Z100 (WHTZ) in New York. Also included were digital and mobile ad units, digital outdoor billboards in strategic locations around the country like Times Square, and national and local commercial inventory.

New York, NY – April 20, 2011 – Clear Channel Radio today announced that its new iHeartRadio App for iPad is now available on the App Store.
With the new iHeartRadio App, iPad users can listen to Clear Channel’s 750 digital radio stations from 150 cities, along with the company’s digital-only commercial-free stations, and take advantage of new and enhanced features, including:

Sharing stations and videos via Facebook, Twitter and email;
Displaying a station’s Twitter feed when users listen to the station;
Previewing what a station is playing by pressing its logo;
Enabling users to save favorite stations and songs;
Conducting a slideshow of artists as their songs play;
Searching for a station by location, name or music genre.
 
The iHeartRadio App can also be streamed wirelessly via AirPlay to Apple TV from iPad. All stations are streamed in ACC format for a high-quality listening experience.

SAN ANTONIO – Clear Channel Radio announced today that it has named Rick Baran as EVP/Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Baran will oversee all financial and administrative operations for Clear Channel Radio as well as oversee the CCR Strategic Initiatives Office and its Business Affairs division. He will be part of the company’s senior management team and report directly to Clear Channel Radio President and CEO John Hogan.
