Clear Channel Stations To Promote Sweetjack Daily Deals
New York, NY and Atlanta, GA – December 5, 2011 – Clear Channel Radio, the leading media company in America with a greater reach than any other radio or television outlet, and Cumulus Media Inc. (NASDAQ: CMLS), the largest pure-play radio broadcaster in the United States, today announced an agreement that will extend both companies’ digital reach and benefit consumers by offering them more choice, more value and a more comprehensive experience both digitally and locally.
Under the agreement, the 570 Cumulus radio stations in 120 markets will be available on the New iHeartRadio platform wherever it is offered, including the Web, mobile devices and automobile. Clear Channel Radio will also advertise daily deals from Cumulus Media’s SweetJack, the rapidly growing deals platform that provides local merchants – including the best restaurants, spas, salons, stores and venues -- the promotional power of radio.
The New iHeartRadio is Clear Channel’s free, industry-leading digital radio service that offers more than 800 broadcast and digital-only radio stations from 150 cities plus the ability to create custom radio stations, delivering listeners everything they want in one fully integrated service. While Cumulus will continue to stream its stations on its own station websites and mobile apps, the New iHeartRadio platform will serve as the sole digital aggregator for Cumulus stations, which will all advertise iHeartRadio on-air and feature a link to iHeartRadio on all their websites.
Created by Cumulus just this past April, SweetJack’s daily deals platform has already grown its user base to more than one million members in sixteen markets. Significant national expansion will continue in 2012, offering consumers savings of up to 85% through the web, email links or smartphones. This agreement means that SweetJack’s national radio daily deals platform will be powered by advertising on almost 1,400 radio stations and station websites across the country. SweetJack is available at www.SweetJack.com and the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as through Cumulus radio station websites.
“The fact that Cumulus chose iHeartRadio as the digital platform for all of its radio stations underscores how quickly the New iHeartRadio has become the digital destination of choice to give listeners the best and most complete online radio experience,” said Bob Pittman, CEO of Clear Channel. He added, "Radio connects local businesses to consumers like no other medium can, and we're looking forward to helping our listeners find even more great deals right in their own backyards with SweetJack."

“SweetJack is our exciting new social commerce platform. It’s a break-through brand in a sea of sameness that’s fueled by the power of radio to connect local merchants with consumers. This agreement with Clear Channel enables us to scale SweetJack into a true nationwide platform which we believe is essential to competing successfully in this rapidly growing space,” said Lew Dickey, CEO of Cumulus Media. “Also, an important part of this announcement is our decision to stream Cumulus’ 570 radio stations on Clear Channel’s dynamic New iHeartRadio platform. It’s a best-in-class technology platform that will extend our reach to people across the country who will be able to listen to our great brands anytime, anywhere.”
“We are always deeply committed to delivering value to both our listeners and to merchants in our stations’ local communities, and we look forward to advertising SweetJack’s terrific daily deals,” said John Hogan, President and CEO of Clear Channel Radio. “We’re also glad that Cumulus chose to come to Clear Channel to extend the reach of SweetJack.”

Clear Channel Radio Partners With Rostrum Records To Propel New Mac Miller Independent Album “Blue Slide Park” To No. 1 On Billboard Chart

class="page-title">

Clear Channel Radio Partners With Rostrum Records To Propel New Mac Miller Independent Album “Blue Slide Park” To No. 1 On Billboard Chart
Roadrunner Records Also Leverages Clear Channel’s Audience On-Air and Online With Its Own Upcoming Artist Integration Campaign, Unveiling Nickelback Album “Here and Now”

New York, NY – November 21, 2011 – Clear Channel Radio, the leading media company in America with more reach in the U.S. than any radio or television company, announced today the successful implementation of its Artist Integration partnership with Rostrum Records to launch recording artist Mac Miller’s new independent rap album “Blue Slide Park.” Mac Miller’s “Blue Slide Park” sold 145, 914 copies and is the first independently distributed album to top the Billboard chart since 1995.

Clear Channel continues to deliver positive results with its new Artist Integration Program, and today Roadrunner Records will launch its own Artist Integration Program partnership, a two-week campaign highlighting the latest Nickelback album "Here and Now."
Miller’s two week-long on-air/online Artist Integration Program campaign featured a series of nearly 18,000 :30 on-air artist profile spots that ran across 102 Clear Channel Mainstream Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) and Rhythmic CHR stations nationwide, directing listeners to station sites where they could fine more information on Miller. Other elements of the campaign included video streams, custom artist pages, banner ads and online promotions with direct links to iTunes, where listeners could purchase the album. Overall, the promotion delivered more than 90 million digital and on-air impressions.
“One of the great features of the Artist Integration Program is how quickly we can generate instant familiarity for a song, separate from airplay. The number of impressions from the commercial campaign is on par with having a song in power rotation for two weeks straight on every key station in America,” said Tom Poleman, President of Clear Channel National Programming Platforms. “We're excited to see the results because they so clearly demonstrated our unique ability to bring awareness and discovery to a new independent project. This is exactly the response we were hoping for from our listeners."

“We were very excited that Clear Channel’s programming team proposed an Artist Integration campaign with Mac. They recognized early on that something special was happening with him, and the campaign was instrumental in boosting “Blue Slide Park” to its recent success,” said Benjy Grinberg, President Rostrum Records. “With their creativity, assets and reach, they definitely played a key role in taking Mac Miller’s awareness up a notch. Their efforts exceeded our expectations, and we think it's incredible that they are paying such close attention to independent artists like Mac.”

The Nickelback Artist Integration Program campaign launching today will run across Clear Channel CHR, Hot Adult Contemporary (AC), Mainstream and Active rock formats and will include banner ads with links to iTunes; custom- produced online spots for station streams; an exclusive artist content page; and Nickelback’s artist-seeded station featured on iHeartRadio.com. As part of the integrated campaign, Clear Channel and Roadrunner Records will also launch a promotion offering listeners a chance to win tickets for two to attend a Nickelback U.S. show during their upcoming tour, backstage access to meet the band and autographed copies of their new album “Here and Now.”
