WHAT:           iHeartMedia announced today that Fall Out Boy has been added to the lineup for the 2024 “iHeartRadio ALTer EGO Presented by Capital One.” The annual event takes place on Saturday, January 13 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.

About Andrew Gillum
Andrew Gillum’s history-making political career began more than 20 years ago when he was elected to the Tallahassee City Commission at age 23—the youngest person elected in the city’s history. Elected to serve as the Mayor of Tallahassee in 2014, Gillum championed investments in early education and restorative justice programs, spearheaded the construction of a 20-megawatt solar farm, and contributed to Tallahassee being named as an All-America City, a top 30 City for entrepreneurs in America, and one of just 50 TechHire cities in the nation. After being sued by the gun lobby and defeating them in Court, Gillum created the Campaign to Defend Local Solutions, an effort to build awareness of the threat and help local officials fight back to protect their communities.

In 2018, Gillum became the first African American nominee for governor of a major party after defeating four better-funded candidates. Shattering all previous records, more than two million new midterm voters turned out in Florida in 2018, and Gillum came within 0.4% of victory with over 8 million votes cast— forcing the state’s first-ever gubernatorial recount.

For more than 15 years, Gillum worked at People for the American Way Foundation where he helped create Young People For, a leadership training program for progressive college students around the country, and established the Young Elected Officials Network, a network of progressive elected officials aged 35 and younger—consisting now of more than 1,000 members around the nation.

Following his historic run for governor, Gillum was honored as one of the EBONY Power 100 and served as a 2019 Resident Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics. He has also served as a political commentator for CNN and contributed to numerous other cable and network news outlets. He currently runs his own consultancy firm out of Tallahassee, FL, where he resides with his wife and their three children.

NEW YORK – Dec. 14, 2023 – iHeartMedia and the Empire State Building today announced the “iHeartRadio Holiday Pop Up Party with Jimmy Fallon presented by State Farm” to bring holiday cheer to the neighborhood and celebrate Fallon’s new song “Wrap Me Up” with Meghan Trainor. From New York City’s landmark tower, the Empire State Building – named the #1 attraction in the U.S. by Tripadvisor travelers for two consecutive years– the event hosted by Elvis Duran will broadcast across iHeartRadio stations nationwide on Dec. 19.

The Holiday Pop Up Party and broadcast will feature Fallon’s flip of the famous switch to kick off a special show of lights atop the Empire State Building synchronized to his song “Wrap Me Up.” The intimate event also features an interview with Elvis Duran and a Q&A, all on the 80th floor of the iconic tower in the heart of New York City. The 15-minute special will broadcast on iHeartRadio AC, Hot AC and CHR stations nationwide on Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. local time (6:45 p.m. ET in New York City) and on the iHeartRadio Holiday Season Radio digital station at 9 p.m. ET.

Additionally, New York iHeartRadio stations Z100, 103.5 KTU and 106.7 Lite FM will play “Wrap Me Up” synced to the light show atop the Empire State Building every night from Dec. 19 to Dec. 25 at 7 p.m. ET.

Peacock Orders Limited Drama Series "Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist" Starring and Executive Produced by Kevin Hart, Will Packer to Executive Produce

  • Peacock announced the limited drama series FIGHT NIGHT: THE MILLION DOLLAR HEIST, starring Kevin Hart, who also executive produces alongside Will Packer. Set in Atlanta, the series follows the heavyweight fight and criminal underground heist that introduced the world to the city dubbed “the Black Mecca,” and the cop and the hustler at the center of it all. 
  • The series is created and written by Shaye Ogbonna (Penguin, The Chi, God’s Country). Ogbonna and Jason Horwitch (Echo 3, The Calling) will both serve as showrunners and executive producers. iHeartMedia Announces Realignment of Markets Management And Increased Focus For Leaders on New High-Growth Opportunities

December 4, 2023 -- New York, NY -- iHeartMedia, the #1 audio company in America, announced today a leadership realignment in its Markets Group, heightening the performance of its more than 160 Markets and 860+ radio stations while enhancing the company’s ability to increase its focus on new high-growth opportunities.  The Markets Group, part of iHeart’s Multi Platform Group, is designed to enable each Market, regardless of size, to take advantage of iHeart’s unique scale and multiple platforms; leadership in audio; and its expertise in consumers, monetization and data.  The company also announced today heightened areas of focus for additional senior leaders who will be overseeing new high-growth opportunities for iHeart.

In 2020, iHeart announced that it would group its Markets by common needs and characteristics into three different divisions – Region, Metro and Community -- to make sharing of resources and experiences easier and more targeted.  The company has now named five new Division Presidents:  Bernie Weiss and Paul Corvino for the Region Division, and Kristin Foley, Chris Soechtig and DJ Hodge for the Metro Division, all of whom have successfully led Markets across the country.  Tom McConnell, formerly a Metro Division President, will also become a Region Division President. 

In addition, Nick Gnau, formerly a Community Division President, will become a Metro Division President, and Shosh Abromovich and Dan Lankford will add Nick’s former Markets to their responsibilities as the Community Division Presidents.  Amy Leimbach, who served as Senior Vice President of Sales for Austin, Dallas and San Antonio, TX, will become President of those Markets.  

The company also announced changes that will enable it to increase its focus on a number of high-growth opportunities.
