(NASDAQ: MAT) and Warner Music Group’s (NASDAQ: WMG) Arts Music division announced they are partnering with iHeartMedia (NASDAQ: IHRT) to launch Barbie Radio today exclusively on iHeartRadio, iHeartMedia’s free all-in-one digital music, podcasting and live streaming radio service, and iHeartRadio Family, a stand-alone app featuring music, stories and radio stations perfect for kids.

Barbie Radio, the first branded radio channel from Mattel, is a 24-hour digital only iHeartRadio station that stars Barbie as the DJ playing songs from her extensive music catalog, including tracks from her latest album, Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams from the musical special of the same name now streaming on Netflix. DJ Barbie will also share stories with listeners that are designed to remind girls they can be anything.

NEW YORK – October 14, 2021 – iHeartMedia kicks off Coldplay’s international tour announcement today with a nationwide audio roadblock and exclusive interviews across more than 150 Hot Adult Contemporary (Hot AC), Alternative Rock (Alt), and Contemporary Hit Music (CHR) broadcast stations nationwide and digitally on the iHeartRadio app, and a week-long national flyaway launching October 25 offering fans the chance to win an exclusive trip to one of the US tour dates.

Additionally, iHeartMedia will celebrate Coldplay’s new album “Music of the Spheres” set to debut Oct. 15 released by Atlantic Records with the iHeartRadio Album Release Party with Coldplay TONIGHT (Oct. 14) at 9pm ET / 6pm PT across Hot AC, Alt and CHR stations nationwide and streamed on the CW app or on www.cwtv.com.

The iHeartRadio Album Release Party will commence with a music-to-light show in partnership with the Empire State Building featuring the band’s collaboration with BTS “My Universe,” simulcasted across New York’s Z100 and available on the iHeartRadio app at 8:55 p.m. ET. The Empire State Building, which celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2021, serves as the New York City broadcast tower for iHeartMedia. The music-to-light spectacular will feature choreography of thousands of LED lights at the top of the famous tower through the wizardry of Marc Brickman and his Tactical Manouevre design collective team.

The Awards ceremony will take place on January 13, 2022 at the iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles and will honor the very best in podcasting throughout 2021, celebrating the most innovative talent and content creators in the industry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the podcast industry saw a record number of podcasts being created and listened to, continuing to push the industry forward with more than 160 million people having listened to a podcast this year alone.

Each year, podcast fans themselves decide the winner of the coveted Podcast of the Year award by socially voting on Twitter. Jen Kirkman's New iHeartRadio Podcast About Anxiety Launches Today

I always thought that young people today must have it so easy with knowing how to get help for anxiety because it’s a word you can just type into Google, but what I learned in my interactions with people online is that people don’t know where to start, or they’re afraid that they might have anxiety so badly that they can’t be helped."

During the lockdown of 2020 Kirman sent out anxiety help over email to any fans who asked, teaching relaxation classes on Zoom from the tactics she had learned for her own anxiety. She realized in those interactions that her ability to see the sense of humor in having anxiety disorders can actually help people. This is what led to the creation of “Anxiety Bites.”

Ryan Seacrest Signs New Contract With iHeartMedia To Continue Through 2025

Host Johnathan Walton, an Emmy Award-winning producer (America Ninja Warrior; Shark Tank) and Mair’s best friend-turned-victim, brings listeners along as he recounts both his personal history with the woman who stole his life savings, and his arduous quest for justice. The first two episodes of “Queen of the Con: The Irish Heiress” premiere Thursday, September 30, with new episodes dropping weekly, every Thursday on iHeartRadio and all major podcasting platforms.
