Joe Randazzo and Chris Karwowski Launch New iHeartRadio Original Comedy Fiction Podcast “The Dr. “Sex” Reese Show”
“The Dr “Sex” Reese Show” Premieres Tuesday, January 18 With New Episodes Releasing Tuesdays
Los Angeles --January 17th, 2022--- Podcast creators Joe Randazzo (The Onion, Funny Or Die, @midnight) and Chris Karwowski (The Onion, [adult swim], audible.com) have partnered with iHeartRadio to launch “The Dr. “Sex” Reese Show,” an eight-episode comedy fiction podcast series that satirizes sex, media, and the “expert” industry as a whole. Randazzo plays the titular host, Dr. Robert “Sex” Reese, the nation’s only syndicated sex therapist who has never had sex. The first episode will air Tuesday, January 18, and can be heard on iHeartRadio and everywhere else podcasts are available. Listen to the official trailer now, HERE.
The first season kicks off when the doctor is accused of having an illegitimate child by a conspiracy theorist (Tim Heidecker), despite Reese’s long-held claim that he has never engaged in the physical act of love. A mild frustration becomes an existential crisis for Dr. Reese, as the facts point more and more to the fact that he is, somehow, a father.
“Dr. Sex Reese believes that his utter disdain for intimacy in all its forms actually gives him a fresh perspective on human sexuality,” Randazzo said. “And the fun of the show is listening to him struggle to give advice to callers who very clearly disgust him—especially when these callers are some of the funniest performers in the world.”
This season of “The Dr. “Sex” Reese Show” features calls with Paul F Tompkins, Martha Kelly, Kurt Braunohler, Dave Holmes, Bridey Elliot, Jordan Morris, Blair Socci, Seth Morris, Sara Schaefer, Ify Nwadiwe, Teresa Lee, Maggie Mae, Tamara Yajia, Robin Reed, Granison Crawford, James Urbaniak and more.
In addition, Megan Gailey also stars as “The Dr. “Sex” Reese Show” producer, Shelly, who is determined to discover the truth behind the paternal accusations and raise the show’s ratings at the same time.
“’The Dr. ‘Sex’ Reese Show’ is pretty unique for a fiction podcast in that it’s almost entirely improvised but then edited for maximum impact,” said Karwowski, who also edited the show. “We wrote most of the ads and outlined the season arc, and scripted a few key scenes, but all told it was about 95% improvised.”
The show began life in 2012 when Karwowski and Randazzo both worked at AdultSwim.com.
“It’s a pretty simple concept, a sex host that hate’s sex but by the time we started recording this season, we had a fully-realized character along with a well-developed backstory full of interesting characters,” said Randazzo. “This season takes everything we did at Adult Swim and pumped it full of comedic steroids, the kind you can only get from a former Soviet bloc nation.”
“The Dr. ‘Sex’ Reese Show” is distributed by The iHeartPodcast Network and available everywhere podcasts are heard. Follow the show HERE to be alerted when new episodes post.
About The Creators
The creators met at The Onion, where Randazzo was Editor-In-Chief and Karwowski was a Writer/Producer, who also ran one of the first podcasts to hit #1 on The Apple Podcast chart, the Onion Radio News. Randazzo has since been the Head Writer for shows such as: @Midnight, The History Of Swear Words, The Misery Index, Well Done with Sebastian Maniscalo and High Science. Karwowski has created audio projects for Audible, The AV Club as well as the long-running drummer podcast, The Trap Set With Joe Wong. He has also written and created shows for kid’s animation. They are currently writing a sci-fi dystopian comedy called Wiz Wipers that will also be released by iHeartRadio.

The Black Effect Podcast Network Launches New Original Podcast Series “Eating While Broke with Coline Witt”
NEW YORK -- January 13, 2022 – Coline Witt, serial entrepreneur and founder of Nick Cannon’s Celebrity High Magazine, has teamed up with Charlamagne Tha God’s and iHeartMedia’s the Black Effect Podcast Network to launch a new original podcast titled “Eating While Broke with Coline Witt.” The new podcast challenges selected self-made celebrities, entrepreneurs and influencers to recreate the meals they made and ate when they were struggling and broke. The podcast will debut on January 20, with new episodes airing every Thursday on iHeartRadio and everywhere podcasts are available. Listen to the trailer HERE.
This real, relatable and unique interview format podcast allows the audience to journey through guests’ inspirational and often humorous tales of success, failure and perseverance on their way to finally “making it.” The first season interviews and topics will include: Social media creative juggernaut and Zeus network founder DeStorm discussing the rise and fall of social media network Vine over syrup sandwiches; platinum selling recording artist Kid Ink talking success and the different “Mama I made it milestones” with “pizza toast;” and MTV star Chanel West Coast sharing how she became a celebrity while folding t-shirts at her day job over a cheese quesadilla. Additional show guests include platinum recording artist Sevyn Streeter, Wild N’ Out’s DJ DWreck, comedians Timothy “DeLaGhetto” Chantarangsu, RIP Michaels and more.
“My friends and I would reminisce about the different hurdles we overcame. During those conversations, we’d often cry laughing at ourselves over the ‘brokest’ things we ate on that journey and the creativity that went into some of those meals,” said Witt. “Some of us grew up poor, others were diverting resources into college, starting businesses or trying to make a career happen and some worked long days and came home to empty refrigerators at night. Either way, the rags-to-riches stories kept my attention like no others and I loved hearing them … and sharing them. So often you hear about the success but not the climb. This show is for people like me who really hope that ‘you are what you eat’ is super false because if not, 20-year-old me was definitely a day-old dollar taco. I hope this show inspires the audience to laugh while celebrating how far they’ve come or feel encouraged to dream big - even when dinner is cereal!”
"We are thrilled to welcome Coline to the Black Effect Podcast Network," said Dollie S. Bishop, President of Production and Creative Development for The Black Effect Podcast Network. “This is our first food-related podcast to debut on the network, and we're excited to bring this new genre to our listeners. We've all had to start somewhere, and 'Eating While Broke' shows how resilience and determination can take you to the top. Some of today's notable media stars will leave millions of listeners inspired, laughing, and with a new budget-friendly recipe. Who doesn't love hearing rags-to-riches stories?"
Episodes of “Eating While Broke” will be produced as in-studio interviews and, in some cases, directly from the interviewees’ homes, offering an even deeper immersion for audiences. In addition to availability via iHeartRadio and all major podcast platforms, the podcast will also be available in video format on YouTube. [link back to YouTube page]

About Coline Witt
A serial entrepreneur at heart, Coline Witt’s first try at a business was a piggy bank company at the age of 19. After running through a gauntlet of random jobs from sales to telemarketing and beyond, she began working with delinquent teens. This led to her creation of Celebrity High (CH), a glossy monthly magazine distributed to over 85 high school campuses in the L.A. market. The magazine eventually partnered with Nick Cannon and his company NCredible Entertainment from 2006-2015. CH launched a Celebrity High TV show on LA Transit TV to over 1.2 million viewers riding the city’s bus and subway system, expanded distribution into shopping malls throughout the West Coast region, hosted events and partnered with major brands such as Disney, Lionsgate and Chipotle.
Her next business, Witt Events, produced events for corporate clients as well as non-profit entities and events reaching low- and moderate-income individuals with an emphasis on financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
A COVID-19 - induced break from the events business created the birthing ground for Famous Failures Productions and its first entertainment offering, Eating While Broke, a video/audio podcast telling the rags-to-riches stories of famous people and how they got to where they are over a meal they once ate when they were broke.

BIN is focused on service to the Black community and providing an information window for those outside the community to help foster communication, accountability and a deeper understanding. Since its launch, BIN has quickly expanded to 32 affiliate markets and can currently be heard in Atlanta, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and many more. BIN is also distributed nationally through the iHeartRadio app, available across more than 250 platforms and 2,000 devices.
“Innovation is driving growth in the global economy,” said Maria Jimenez, Chief Operating Officer of the Business Intelligence Group. “We are thrilled to be honoring Black Information Network as they are one of the organizations leading this charge and helping humanity progress.”
“Innovation has been one of BIN’s core values since our inception,” said Tony Coles, President of BIN: Black Information Network. “It drives us to keep growing and creating spaces for the Black community to hear and contribute to the news that matters most to them. It’s an honor to be recognized with an incredible lineup of organizations and individuals who share the value of innovation and prove it in their work every day.”
Organizations from across the globe submitted their recent innovations for consideration in the BIG Innovation Awards. Nominations were then judged by a select group of business leaders and executives who volunteer their time and expertise to score submissions.
