ATLANTA – February 27, 2023 – iHeartMedia and Charlamagne Tha God today announced the return of the Black Effect Podcast Festival to celebrate, uplift and amplify Black voices in the podcast industry. The event will take place Saturday, April 27 from noon to 8 p.m. ET at Pullman Yards in Atlanta, GA. Charlamagne Tha God will join the festival alongside some of the Black Effect’s most popular personalities for a day full of live podcast tapings and informative discussions aimed at aspiring podcasters in the Black community. The festival will be hosted by Comedians Pretty Vee and B-Daht. Tickets will go on sale February 28 at 12 p.m. EST. The second annual festival will feature live appearances from some of the Black Effect’s most popular shows including “Carefully Reckless with Jess Hilarious,” “WHOREible Decisions,” “Black Tech, Green Money,” and “Deeply Well with Devi Brown,” with special guests Michelle Williams (Checking In) and Dr. Joy Harden-Bradford (Therapy for Black Girls). The festival will also feature special live recordings of hit shows with guests including “Pour Minds,” “The Baller Alert Show," and Wallo267 and Gillie Da King. Additionally, ticket holders will hear thought-provoking and informative panel discussions during the event including “How To Make Money in Podcasting and Build Brands” and “Shifting Podcast Content and Brand Partner Norms.” The panels will feature special guests including Will Lucas (“Black Tech, Green Money”), John Hope Bryant (“Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant”), Glasses Malone (“No Ceilings”), Mandii B (“WHOREible Decisions”) and others.

iHeartMedia Announces Kim Guthrie as Division President

NEW YORK. – June 10, 2022 – iHeartMedia announced today that Kim Guthrie has been named Division President for iHeartMedia Florida, replacing Linda Byrd who enters her retirement effective July 15th.

Before ascending to CEO, Guthrie further expanded her skills by serving as Executive Vice President of CMG’s National Ad Platforms, where she oversaw the country’s biggest television rep firm. As CEO of CMG, she had complete oversight of the company, including nearly 100 broadcast TV and radio stations, dozens of digital assets and newspapers.   • iHeartMedia reaches 90 percent of Americans each month, offering PRISA Media the opportunity to reach the US Spanish-language market at scale.

 

New York, NY May 11, 2022 - PRISA Media and iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in the United States, have reached an agreement to integrate the streaming services of PRISA Media's spoken-word radio networks into the iHeartRadio catalog. With iHeartMedia’s more than a quarter of a billion monthly listeners through its broadcast radio stations across the country and its more than 3 billion downloads, 159 million registered users on the iHeartRadio app, this partnership will help PRISA Media build massive awareness in the U.S., further validating it position as the leading media group in the Spanish-speaking world.

According to Carlos Núñez, executive chair of PRISA Media, “the agreement allows us to make a significant leap forward in the Group's commitment to the Spanish-language market in the United States, solidifying our position as media leader in the Spanish-speaking world, while scaling up our content and opening new lines of business.”

PRISA Media’s programming will be available to listeners via iHeartRadio on June, with a second phase of this partnership to include PRISA Media's podcasts joining the iHeartPodcast Network.
