New Roles Will Capitalize on the Success of the iHeartMedia Markets Group and Further Propel Its Growth
 
New York, NY – November 6, 2017 – iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in America with a greater reach in the U.S. than any other media outlet, announced today it has elevated Greg Ashlock and Hartley Adkins as the next step in the evolution of the iHeartMedia Markets Group.  Ashlock, previously President of iHeartMedia Markets Group West Division who also served as the senior business leader representing the company in the West, has been named President of the iHeartMedia Markets Group. In addition, Hartley Adkins, who most recently served as President of Northeast Division and Corporate Operations for the iHeartMedia Markets Group, has been named President of Integrated Revenue Strategy.
 
In his new role, Ashlock will now manage the entire iHeartMedia Markets Group, including the company’s more than 850 radio stations in over 150 markets. This consolidation under one leader will allow iHeartMedia to move quicker, be more responsive, communicate more clearly and best serve both listeners and advertisers based on each market’s unique needs. Division Presidents Kevin LeGrett and Tom McConnell will continue in their roles and report directly to Ashlock.
 
In the newly created position of President of Integrated Revenue Strategy, Adkins will join the Corporate group in New York and will be responsible for working with Group heads and other Corporate leaders to help develop innovative revenue initiatives that scale across multiple platforms as well as new strategic solutions specifically for the Markets Group that utilize the unique assets of iHeartMedia.  He will also have responsibility for certain strategic businesses and will oversee iHeartMedia’s mergers and acquisitions activity with stations and markets as well as represent the company within radio industry groups and associations.
 
Ashlock and Adkins will report to Bob Pittman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of iHeartMedia, Inc. and Richard J. Bressler, President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for iHeartMedia, Inc.

  • Puerto Rican Superstar Ricky Martin opened the show with an incredible performance and spectacular mix of his most recent successes. After his performance, it was a special moment in Latin music history when Ricky Martin gave an emotional acceptance speech while receiving the second annual iHeartRadio Premio Corazón Latino award by iHeartRadio's Enrique Santos. Ricky Martin received this award for his support following Hurricane Maria and his constant work throughout the years with human trafficking and The Ricky Martin Foundation.
  • Luis Fonsi reminded the 2017 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina audience just how great of a song his dominating chart-topper “Despacito” is. During Fonsi's set, the singer/songwriter also performed his songs "Corazon En La Maleta," "No Me Doy Por Vencido," and "Party Animal."
  • Camila Cabello slayed the stage in Miami and OMG was it amazing. There were no bad things about the performance as she brought all the energy and good vibes to the stage as she performed some of her new music, including "Havana," "OMG," "Bad Things," and ending with "Crying In The Club." She also thanked all of the first responders for their incredible service in the aftermath of all of the recent natural disasters.
  • There is no group that knows better how to light a party than Gente De Zona, the most relevant tropical duo of the moment was in charge of putting the whole audience with an explosive musical set. Alexander and Randy captivated everyone with "Si No Vuelves," "Somos Tú y Yo," and "La Gozadera" three of their most successful songs. They did not stop dancing on the stage for a moment moving their hips with their already recognized seductive little steps. The group surprised by inviting the Venezuelan Chyno Miranda to the stage to sing their song "Quédate conmigo." A very special moment because all three have a lot of energy and love to dance.
  • Jesse & Joy brought Gente De Zona on state to perform their new single, “3AM”. The pair had many special moments on the stage with their guitars in hand to sing their songs "I'm Not One Of Those," "Run" and "Sidereal Space." During their performance they were also honored for their efforts as volunteers after the earthquakes that shook Mexico, where they became voices of the communities and bearers of aid for the victims.
  • Yandel was introduced by the Miami-Dade Fire Department who were part of the rescue team during Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The legend of the urban genre lit the with performances of "Enchanting," "Never Forget Me," "Oh My God," and "Báilame Remix," "Look at it," "Rakata" and "Ahora Es."
  • Diplo closed the show with an enormous dance party, as he took the reigns behind the DJ booth to dish out beats, which included a number of Latin hits like "Mi Gente," "Rompe," "Gasolina," and even the Spanish version of Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow."

iHeartMedia Announces Strategic Station Exchange With Entercom Communications in Seattle, Boston, Richmond and Chattanooga Markets

New York, N.Y. – November 1, 2017 – iHeartMedia announced today a strategic station exchange with Entercom Communications (NYSE: ETM) across four U.S. markets.  Under the agreement, iHeartMedia will acquire seven radio stations from Entercom in Boston, MA and Seattle, WA and Entercom will acquire 10 stations from iHeartMedia in Richmond, VA and Chattanooga, TN.  The agreement is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018.
 
Under the agreement, WRKO-AM, WZLX-FM, WKAF-FM and WBZ-AM in Boston and KZOK-FM, KJAQ-FM and KFNQ-AM in Seattle will join iHeartMedia, which currently operates more than 850 radio stations in 150 markets that reach over a quarter of a billion monthly listeners to its broadcast stations alone; in addition to broadcast, the company reaches audiences across digital, mobile, social and live events. These seven stations will also be available on iHeartRadio, the all-in-one streaming music and live radio service with more than 1.4 billion downloads and 100 million registered users.

Entercom will acquire WRVA-AM, WRXL-FM, WTVR-FM, WBTJ-FM, WRNL-AM and WRVQ-FM in Richmond and WKXJ-FM, WLND-FM, WRXR-FM and WUSY-FM in Chattanooga.  The deal is part of Entercom’s broader divestiture and acquisition package to facilitate the company’s pending merger with CBS Radio.

FOX, home to seminal music-infused series such as “Glee,” EMPIRE and STAR, will work with iHeartMedia, with its more than a quarter billion monthly listeners in the U.S., to support auditions, assist in the search for talent and boost the careers of artists throughout the run of the competition. As part of the grand prize, the winner of THE FOUR: BATTLE FOR STARDOM will also be part of iHeartMedia’s coveted “On the Verge” artist development program, which will support the winning talent with airplay across iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide.
 
The campaign combines the multiplatform scale and reach of both companies, aligning the power of the FOX broadcast network with iHeartMedia’s national footprint, which includes its more than 850 live radio stations across the country; iHeartRadio, its digital music, podcasting and live streaming service; more than 122 million social followers; and its nationally recognized live events, including the iHeartRadio Music Festival and the iHeartRadio Music Awards. THE FOUR: BATTLE FOR STARDOM begins where most competitions end: with the four finalists. Four super-talented singers, chosen from auditions by the show, will defend their coveted spots on the stage, as they are challenged individually by new singers determined to replace them. If the existing four outperform their challengers, they survive to sing another week, until the end of the season, when the final four face off against each other. Only one will claim the ultimate prize for an aspiring artist: a team of elite star-makers – the series’ panel of judges – all committed to launching and guiding the winner’s music career.
