Kingston, Jamaica November 7, 2015 On Saturday January 2nd the lawns of Jamaica House will come to life with the sights and sounds of the 2016 installment of the ‘Shaggy & Friends’ benefit concert. The concert, which is now a biennial event, aims to surpass 2014's yields for the Bustamante Hospital for Children under the theme I Care.
 
The upcoming staging of the concert, which is organized by the Shaggy Make A Difference Foundation, will be its fifth and is set to be the biggest one yet. Proceeds from the last 2 concerts were directed towards completing the first diagnostic Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) totally dedicated to children in the English-speaking Caribbean; however, considering the dire needs of the children that pass through the Hospital day to day, the Foundation is re-focusing its energy on the needs of the general hospital population. “We feel that during this sensitive time, healthcare needs our attention more than ever,” said Rebecca Packer, Executive Director of the Foundation, who also announced that media giant iHeartMedia and Italian automaker FIAT® are joining forces with the Foundation for the event.

Packer said that the hashtag #TeamShaggy4Kids was tweeted or retweeted more than 31 million times reaching approximately 7 million twitter accounts across the world last year, and would be used again for the upcoming staging.
 
Shaggy & Friends 2016 will have three access tiers—Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each will cost JD$5000, JD$10,000 and JD$20,000 respectively. In order to encourage more people to attend, the Foundation is also offering a discount on early bird  tickets purchased before December 25.
 
To date The Shaggy Make a Difference Foundation along with being the biggest donor for the furnishing of the Cath Lab (currently awaiting building completion), has done full audit of hospital equipment and paid for the repair of all equipment whether donated by the Foundation or not, raised just under US$1,600,000 and purchased more than 450 pieces of essential, life-saving equipment for The Bustamante Hospital for Children. The Hospital is the only full-service pediatric hospital in the English-speaking Caribbean.

In addition, he will help run the centralized iHeartMedia Campaign 2016 Command Center (aka “War Room”), which will track more than 1,000 national, statewide and local elections across more than 150 markets. Prior to his work with the DCCC, Weiss served as a Candidate Coordinator for the AFL-CIO, where he worked on their Path to Power Program and provided strategic advice on electoral opportunities. His background also includes work on campaigns in Nevada, Iowa, Colorado, Maine, and California. Additionally, Weiss has held positions with the American Optometric Association, National Association of Letter Carriers and American Association of Justice. New York, N.Y. – October 5, 2015 – iHeartMedia will celebrate the holiday season across the nation with its annual "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2015 Tour Presented by Capital One"-- the season's biggest music event, which captures the music and holiday spirit of the iHeartRadio app with performances by this year’s biggest recording artists. The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2015 Tour Presented by Capital One will stop in Dallas; San Francisco/Oakland; Los Angeles; Minneapolis; Philadelphia; Boston; New York; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Miami/Ft. Lauderdale; and Tampa.

Each year, iHeartMedia stations across America host Jingle Ball concerts in local cities that feature performances by top recording artists as well as emerging new talent.  Z100's Jingle Ball in New York will video stream live exclusively on Yahoo at Yahoo.com/iHeartRadio for fans nationwide and broadcast live on iHeartMedia Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) stations across the country on Friday, December 11, at 8 p.m. EST, and will also be featured as an exclusive nationwide 90 minute broadcast television special on The CW Network on Thursday, December 17, at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Capital One Cardholder Pre-Sale begins October 6 at 10 a.m. local market time and runs through October 9 at 10 a.m. local market time or while supplies last.  Tickets will be available at iHeartRadio.com/CapitalOne

For Third Year in a Row, iHeartRadio Music Festival Garners More Social Media Impressions than Big Game Halftime Show
 
New York – Sept. 29, 2015 – iHeartMedia today shared the latest social media engagement data resulting from its iHeartRadio Music Festival, which took place in Las Vegas on September 18 and 19. This year’s festival generated a record 6.5 billion social media impressions, putting the iconic music event’s social activity ahead of the Big Game Half Time Show for the third consecutive year and neck and neck with the Academy Awards.
 
Twitter was the most popular platform for fans and viewers of this year’s event, comprising almost half the social activity surrounding the festival, resulting in #iHeartRadio trending worldwide, nationally and locally across more than 80 cities. After Twitter, Facebook and Instagram were the next platforms of choice for those joining the conversation around the event, comprising 30 percent and 20 percent (respectively) of the festival’s social activity, followed by Tumblr, Flickr and YouTube. Across these platforms, the top five artists who dominated the social chatter during the festival included Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez, Kanye West, Sam Smith and Coldplay.
 
Other noteworthy statistics include:   

Around 60 percent of social media users posting content around the festival were millennials ages 18-34, and 75 percent of social activity came from female users

New York - September 28, 2015 – The CW and iHeartMedia today announced a new multi-year agreement for The CW to remain the exclusive television broadcaster of the star-studded two-day iHeartRadio Music Festival. The CW will also exclusively telecast the annual holiday iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert. The announcement was made today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, and John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises, iHeartMedia.
 
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with iHeartMedia,” said Pedowitz. “The iHeartRadio Music Festival kicks off our fall each year with high energy and terrific music, and we are very pleased that we will continue that tradition in the years to come.”

This year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas included performances from some of the biggest names in music, including Coldplay, The Killers, Kanye West, Kenny Chesney, Puff Daddy, Jennifer Lopez, Blake Shelton, The Weeknd, Nick Jonas, and more. The CW will telecast a two-night special Tuesday, September 29 and Wednesday, September 30 8:00-10:00 pm ET/PT.
