Learn more at cameo.com.

The benefit special included these special moments:

  • Dolly Parton welcomed everyone to the 2021 “Can’t Cancel Pride” before Troye Sivan with Tate McRae and Regard took the stage to kick off the event with a performance of their song, “You.”
  • Before performing her song "Hold On," Yola had a message for viewers: “Here’s to love, resilience and to an era of safety, equality and peace.”
  • P!NK performed an acoustic version of her song, “Cover Me In Sunshine,” alongside a guitarist.
  • Busy Phillips spoke on raising a non-binary child and being a supportive parent: “All our kids need to know is that we love them for them, and that we’re here to support them on their journey. So this PRIDE, my family is sending love to your family and celebrating every stripe of the rainbow.”
  • Hayley Kiyoko performed her song “Chance” which debuted during the kick-off of PRIDE month.
  • Brandi Carlile introduced Olly Alexander from Years & Years who performed “Starstruck.”
  • Kylie Minogue danced throughout her performance of “Dance Floor Darling” alongside backup dancers.
  • Host, Bebe Rexha delivered a powerful and encouraging message to the community before performing her new single “Sacrifice.”
  • Live for the first time ever, Brothers Osborne performed “Younger Me” – an anthem TJ Osborne wrote about coming out.
  • Before introducing the Pulse nightclub candlelight tribute, Ricky Martin spoke on hate: “With all the progress we made since the 1969 Stonewall rebellion, we cannot ignore that too many hearts remain full of hate.” He continued, “But tonight, we’re here to out-love hate. We stand strong, and together we call on the power of music to heal and give us hope.”
  • In a special candlelight moment to remember the five-year anniversary of the Pulse nightclub massacre and the lives that were lost, Leslie Odom Jr. performed “Without You.”
  • The show finale featured a special message from Elton John as he honored JoJo Siwa for being a young trailblazer in the community, before she performed a special rendition of her song “Boomerang.”
  • In addition, the entire show sought inspiration from the letters in PRIDE symbolizing: Power & Purpose, Respect & Relationships, Individuality & Intersectionality, Dance & Defy, and Equality & Everybody.
  • Lil Nas X spoke on the “P” for Power & Purpose in PRIDE: “We’re here to amp up our Power to end discrimination, and our Purpose is doing it right now. We’re united in this fight across every intersectional identity, loving every bit of ourselves and taking so much pride in who we are. And we want to keep opening doors for each other.”
  • Jennifer Hudson spoke on the “R” for Respect & Relationships in PRIDE: “On this Pride, we’ve got to make sure everybody gets the RESPECT they deserve. That’s the “R” I’m about today. When the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, sang R.E.S.P.E.C.T – she was singing for and to all of us – the LGBTQI+ community – Black and Brown people, indigenous folks, our AAPI sisters and brothers, immigrants, women, people of all abilities. When Ms. Franklin sang that song, it was a soulful, cracking, unapologetic declaration that we ALL deserve respect. On Pride we celebrate and honor everyone out there who keeps fighting for it.”
  • Demi Lovato spoke on the “I” for Individuality & Intersectionality in PRIDE: “The LGBTQ Community is filled with amazing individuals from every background and ability. Even as individuals we do not stand alone, we connect with everyone… and intersect with so many other communities aligned in the fight for safety and justice. As a queer person, it is very important to me to stand with Black Lives Matter, Black-Trans Lives Matter, Stop AAPI Hate, and other groups that speak truth to power.”
  • Mj Rodriguez spoke on the “D” for Dance & Defy in PRIDE: “Now that we’ve covered the "why" of the community with our power and purpose, and the "who" with our relationships and our intersections, it's time for "what" we can do. Even in the face of challenges to our very being…we Dance! Through dance, music and creative self-expression, the LGBTQI+ community joyfully defies limitations and expectations, uplifting each other in every single thing that we do.”
  • Karamo Brown and Tan France from Queer Eye spoke on the “E” for Equality & Everybody in PRIDE: On behalf of the Fab Five, we’re proud to bring you the letter “E”. This year “E” stands for Equality...and everybody can do their part to make sure that our community is not only accepted but has equal legal protections,” said Tan. Karamo continued, “As LGBTQ+ men of color, we want to remind you that no one has justice until we all have justice – no matter your identity, orientation, background or ability. That’s why we’ve got to keep up the fight for the vote, and for the Equality Act.” Tan finished by telling everyone, “While we’re at it, remember that it’s beautiful to be you, and it’s beautiful to be queer.”
  • Pete and Chasten Buttigieg gave a message of hope and unity: “The extraordinary course of events over this past year has made all of us think more deeply about the role each of us must play in the critical shared mission of delivering a more perfect union. We’re determined to continue building an America that champions inclusion and opportunity for all, so that any queer person in any neighborhood around the country who’s watching and questioning whether they belong knows that the answer is yes, you do belong. It’s the beginning of a new season in Washington. The importance of representation in conversations ranging from the global stage to your backyard has never been more clear.”

For over 50 years, Pride Month has given millions of people the opportunity to come together and feel proud of who they are. And this year is no different. While the world is slowly starting to gather more in person, the LGBTQ+ community is still finding ways to celebrate this month.

COVID-19 has not only led to the disruption of many national Pride events but has also had a damaging effect on fundraising efforts LGBTQ+ organizations rely on to survive. The LGBTQ+ community continues to face loss of livelihoods, lack of access to critical life-affirming healthcare, increased domestic violence and social isolation as many of the organizations they count on for these services continue to struggle for support during the pandemic.

On June 4, P&G and iHeartMedia’s second annual “Can’t Cancel Pride” will once again give us the opportunity to raise visibility and funds for members of this community through organizations including GLAAD, SAGE, National Black Justice Coalition, The Trevor Project, CenterLink and OutRight Action International. iHeartMedia, Blumhouse Television and Crypt TV Partner to Produce New Scripted Thriller Podcast “Mordeo,” Based on Crypt TV’s Successful Web Series

NAACP Image Award nominee J. Alphonse Nicholson voices lead role

“Mordeo” pairs iHeartMedia’s world-class audio production capabilities with Blumhouse Television and Crypt TV’s expertise in the horror genre to bring this haunting tale to life

NEW YORK – May 26, 2021 – iHeartMedia, the No. 1 podcast publisher globally, today announced “Mordeo,” a new iHeartRadio Original Podcast co-produced with Blumhouse Television and Crypt TV. The 10-episode scripted thriller directed by Alex Kemp will recount the tale of two brothers who disappear in the Monongahela Forest and will follow Isaiah Williams, voiced by J. Alphonse Nicholson (P-Valley, Just Mercy), the lone survivor, as he emerges from the forest starving, disoriented and traumatized one month after his disappearance. Nicholson garnered a 2021 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for P-Valley.

Listeners will be catapulted into the terrorizing world of The Mordeo, a ravenous, bloodthirsty creature, as Isaiah grapples with his harrowing experience in the woods and his darkest secret threatens to turn him into the very monster he thought he left behind. “Mordeo,” produced in association with Wolf At The Door, will premiere on June 2 with new episodes releasing every Wednesday. Listeners can hear the official audio trailer now on iHeartRadio and everywhere podcasts are heard.

“‘Mordeo’ serves fans of horror more of what they love. Crypt TV is an extension of the Blumhouse family and it was a natural fit to help expand their storytelling into a new medium with proven partners like iHeartMedia,” said Chris McCumber, President Blumhouse Television.

"Crypt is thrilled to expand Mordeo as a podcast and there is truly no better creative partner for Crypt's first adaptation in audio than Blumhouse and iHeartMedia,” said Jack Davis, CEO for Crypt TV. “Mordeo is one of Crypt's biggest IPs and I'm so excited for Crypt fans to see one of our favorite monsters in a new medium; and for genre and audio fans everywhere to experience all 10 episodes of this show."

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the brilliant creative minds at Blumhouse and Crypt TV to bring this captivating, haunting story to life,” said Will Pearson, COO of the iHeartPodcast Network. “Both are masterful storytelling teams, responsible for so many of the best horror movies and television shows in existence. It's been a genuine pleasure to pair their expertise with our own and we're excited to see what audiences think of this latest thriller.”

The new show is part of the larger strategic partnership between iHeartMedia and Blumhouse Television announced in October 2019. Under the deal, the two companies are collaborating to develop and produce scripted podcasts across the horror genre, ranging from suspenseful thrillers and murder mysteries to science fiction audio-plays. Previous collaborations include “Aaron Mahnke’s 13 Days of Halloween,” an immersive horror podcast narrated by Keegan-Michael Key.

Mordeo is one of Crypt TV's biggest intellectual properties with over 35 million views across Crypt's YouTube and Facebook channels. “Mordeo,” the podcast, with Blumhouse and iHeartMedia marks the first adaptation of Crypt IP into audio. The original Mordeo was directed by Ben Sottak. Episodes written by Katelyn Crabb and co-produced by Sottak. Daniel Persitz oversaw production on behalf of Crypt TV.

The Event Will Kick Off Month-Long Celebration To Raise Visibility And Funds for GLAAD, SAGE, The Trevor Project, the National Black Justice Coalition, CenterLink and OutRight Action International

New York – May 20, 2021 – This June, Procter & Gamble® (P&G) and iHeartMedia invite people everywhere to join “Can’t Cancel Pride,” a virtual relief benefit for the LGBTQ+ community, featuring performances and appearances from the most influential voices in the community as well as the biggest names in culture and entertainment including Bebe Rexha, Brothers Osborne, Busy Phillips, Demi Lovato, Gus Kenworthy, Hayley Kiyoko, Jennifer Hudson, JoJo Siwa, Lil Nas X, Marshmello, MJ Rodriguez, Nina West, P!NK, Ricky Martin, Regard, Troye Sivan, Tate McRae and more, hosted by iHeartMedia on-air personality Elvis Duran and diamond-selling singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha, who will also perform her new single “Sacrifice.”

The second annual event will demonstrate that nothing can cancel the heart of Pride and the spirit that the LGBTQ+ equality movement embodies while focusing on the issues that continue to impact the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 has not only led to the disruption of many national Pride events, but has also had a damaging effect on fund-raising efforts LGBTQ+ organizations rely on to survive. The LGBTQ+ community continues to face loss of livelihoods, lack of access to critical life-affirming healthcare, increased domestic violence and social isolation as many of the organizations they count on for these services continue to struggle for support during the pandemic.

With support from brands including P&G, Allē by Allergan Aesthetics, Dawn®, General Motors, The Art of Shaving and GilletteLabs®, Bounty®, Charmin®, Jared®, Puffs®, Downy®, Tide®, OLAY®, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, the one-hour benefit special produced by iHeartMedia and P&G, will stream on June 4 at 9 p.m. on iHeartRadio’s TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram TV pages, iHeartRadio’s PrideRadio.com and Revry as well as broadcast on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio App. The event will be available on demand via iHeartRadio’s TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram TV pages, iHeartRadio’s PrideRadio.com and Revry throughout Pride Month until June 30.

“Can’t Cancel Pride is about creating visibility for the LGBTQ+ community and showing them they are not alone,” said Marc Pritchard, Chief Brand Officer, P&G. “The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic remains heightened for LGBTQ+ people, who continue to face issues driven by persistent bias, intolerance and inequality. We want to use our voice to help bring much needed resources, support, acts of good and love to this remarkable and resilient community.”

“Can’t Cancel Pride” will once again partner with Greater Cincinnati Foundation to administer and distribute financial support raised by the event to LGBTQ+ organizations with a track record of positive impact and support of the LGBTQ+ community including GLAAD, SAGE, The Trevor Project, the National Black Justice Coalition, CenterLink, and OutRight Action International. In 2020, “Can’t Cancel Pride” raised over $4 million to benefit the LGBTQ+ communities most impacted by COVID-19. This year’s event has a goal to raise even more in 2021, as the pandemic continues to have a damaging effect on the fundraising efforts that LGBTQ+ organizations rely on to survive.

“As the country is returning back to normal and we are slowly starting to gather again, LGBTQ+ communities around the world are still feeling the devastating effects of COVID-19,” said Gayle Troberman, Chief Marketing Officer for iHeartMedia. “We look forward to once again celebrating the incredible voices and allies of the LGBTQ+ community with an amazing night of music that will honor Pride and the communities’ fight for equal rights, all while benefitting six remarkable nonprofits that make an everyday positive impact.”

The event will kick off a month-long Pride celebration throughout June. iHeartMedia radio stations will air spots encouraging listeners to watch the event on demand, share their special Pride moments on social media using the hashtag #CantCancelPride, and support the participating nonprofits by visiting cantcancelpride.com or texting “RAINBOW” to 56512.

Funds raised in 2020 provided critical resources for the six nonprofit partners. The event helped CenterLink provide microgrants to 190+ LGBTQ+ community centers and organizations; supported The Trevor Project’s lifeline, chat, and text crisis services, which served more than 14,000 crisis contacts from LGBTQ+ young people in June 2020 alone; aided SAGE in forging connections and reducing isolation for LGBT elders during this pandemic; and contributed to the National Black Justice Coalition’s federal public policy work and Youth And Young Adult Action Council; proceeds benefitted LGBTQ+ individuals around the world through OutRight Action International’s COVID-19 Global LGBTIQ Emergency Fund.
